Custom made aluminum yoke (U-shaped bracket) for the Aputure Amaran P60C and P60X. This yoke allows quick and easy tilting of the LED panel, even when fully loaded down with batteries and the softbox.

The Amaran LED panels are great lights; lots of output for the cost! But mounting on a single plastic-encased brass thread on the bottom of the light is difficult to trust. It can also be a pain to adjust when using the included articulating bracket. That's why we came up with a simple yoke bracket that connects on two points of the light for a secure connection.

  • Can you tell me what would be the dimensions of the P60C with this yoke attached from the widest points? I'm planning on permanently affixing these and I'm trying to find a compact case that will accommodate a three light kit.

    The height is 12-7/8 inches with the p60c mounted.
    The height is 12 inches with the p60x mounted.

    The width of the unit with yoke attached is 13-1/4 inches with the knobs. 
    If we replaced the lever style adjusting knob with a round one, the width would be 12-1/2 inches.
    Without knobs it is 11-3/8 inches. If you needed to reduce the width closer to this dimension, it's possible to use thinner profile knobs.
