What sets this crane apart from others on the market?

  • Don't be fooled by imitations! ProAm® virtually created the market for mid-sized cranes. While imitations come and go, ProAm® will be around to honor the crane's LIFETIME warranty.
  • The single rail” design achieves a light weight crane easily assembled by 1 person. It is complemented and made more stable by a second rail that accomplishes the tilt function.
  • High Density scratch resistant powder-coating. Others use only a black spray paint which flakes off easily.
  • The combination of price, usable features and excellent build quality make it the best mid-sized crane on the market. The manufacturer warranties the product for life and we guarantee your total satisfaction with our 30 day money back policy!
  • The design is completely tool-less at no extra cost!
  • With this camera crane, operators can choose to tilt the camera independently while tilting the crane body so there is no need for an expensive motorized panhead, or by using the auto tilt feature, keep the camera fixed at the same angle while tilting the crane body. Most cranes force you to keep the camera level while booming. That won't allow you to keep focused on a subject and can severely limits your shots.
  • ProAm® backs this product with a LIFETIME Guarantee, because they know it will last.
  • Design protected by US Patent.

The product arrived on-time, and in perfect conditions.
The Jib is really easy to setup, and perfectly smooth.
Only took me a little while to balancing the jib with a 10 pounds setup.

I was absolutely thrilled when the Orion DVC210 arrived by UPS. It was packaged very carefully and each piece was protected by being individually wrapped. The instructions for assembling and operating it couldn't have been easier. I was up an running with it in about 15 minutes. All in all, a fantastic product from a fantastic company!

Visual Impact at an Excellent Price

In a working environment, the Orion's design makes assembly pretty much foolproof. I put the 8' Orion on top of heavy Manfrotto legs that stand almost 6' high. Sending a camera up 14' makes an impression on clients, but once they see the results on screen, they're impressed all over again.

I have only one serious critique about the kit: The first time out with it, I attached my zoom/start-stop controller just above the foam handle, as one does with any arm on any tripod. But raising the jib, the controller got wedged against the arm, and *bent* the handle outward! It was easy enough to bend the aluminum back into a workable straightness, but it was unsettling. I now put the controller on the foam handle itself. It clears the jib, but at an obvious cost of handle space. Having a couple more inches for a remote would be great.

Even so, for added production value without a huge hit to your budget, I'd still say the Orion is the way to go.

Orion DVC210 8 ft DSLR Camera Crane / Jib by ProA

Excellent product! Build quality is unbelievable for the price. Once you get it balanced ( I use ankle weights behind the pivot point which can slide forward or backward to fine tune the balance in addition to the free weights on the weight bar. ) you can do most movements with one finger! Super smooth shots are possible if you slow down and use a good fluid head.....all in all, I'm impressed! This purchase has taken my video capture to a new level...Buy one!
    Customer service is outstanding!

I recently recived tuition reimbursement and I decided to finally do something for me. But I decided to take on a High School passion of mine, which is filmmaking. In total I spent somewhere around $4,000 of amateur filmmaking equipment. But out of all seven online purchases my I made, my 'customer exerience' with your company was most satisfying. Your website conveniently advertised a coupon for signing up for regular emails. I received email coupon and applied the code at checkout. Thank you for the generous discount. Good luck on raising the capital to fund you expenses for the compact, lightweight crane.

And... if my memory servers me well, the order form that I reviewed at checkout remarked a seven day shipping timeframe. I recived my order in less then 3 days. I truly appreciate the modern online shopping experience that I only hope to receive when doing business on the Internet.

    Kind regards,
    Matt Mitchell
