Ask a Question
  • Can any of your P7HD3 or any of the other 7 inch monitors be mounted on a sony hxr-nx5u camera and powered by its' xlr input which provides 48v for mics.

All of our 7" monitors can be mounted to the XHR-NX5U using the includes accessory shoe mini-ball heads. The P7HD3 and the wireless version, the P7WHDI, can be powered by 4 pin XLR input, but the XLR cable you use for your mics may be 3 pin which would unfortunately not work. These two monitors do have a built in Sony NPF battery plate which can be powered by the same battery you'll use with the XHR-NX5U.
