What sets this crane apart from others on the market?
  • Don't be fooled by imitations! ProAm® virtually created the market for mid-sized cranes. While imitations come and go, ProAm® will be around to honor the crane's LIFETIME warranty.
  • The “single rail” design achieves a light weight crane easily assembled by 1 person. It is complemented and made more stable by a second rail that accomplishes the tilt function.
  • High Density scratch resistant powder-coating. Others use only a black spray paint which flakes off easily.
  • The combination of price, usable features and excellent build quality make it the best mid-sized crane on the market. The manufacturer warranties the product for life and we guarantee your total satisfaction with our 30 day money back policy!
  • The design is completely tool-less at no extra cost!
  • With this camera crane, operators can choose to tilt the camera independently while tilting the crane body so there is no need for an expensive motorized panhead, or by using the auto tilt feature, keep the camera fixed at the same angle while tilting the crane body. Most cranes force you to keep the camera level while booming. That won't allow you to keep focused on a subject and can severely limits your shots.
  • ProAm® backs this product with a LIFETIME Guarantee, because they know it will last.
  • Design protected by US Patent.
Features and Specifications

  • Quickly mounts to standard tripod heads using 1/4" x 20 or 3/8" x 16 threads. Does not require removal of the head

  • 8' crane breaks down into two 4' sections in seconds
  • Weights can be easily added for counterbalance (not included)
  • Get shots from below or overhead subject

Awesome-sauce July 24, 2015
Reviewer: Matthew Mitchell from Atlanta, GA United States
I recently recived tuition reimbursement and I decided to finally do something for me. But I decided to take on a High School passion of mine, which is filmmaking. In total I spent somewhere around $4,000 of amateur filmmaking equipment. But out of all seven online purchases my I made, my 'customer exerience' with your company was most satisfying. Your website conveniently advertised a coupon for signing up for regular emails. I received email coupon and applied the code at checkout. Thank you for the generous discount. Good luck on raising the capital to fund you expenses for the compact, lightweight crane.

And... if my memory servers me well, the order form that I reviewed at checkout remarked a seven day shipping timeframe. I recived my order in less then 3 days. I truly appreciate the modern online shopping experience that I only hope to receive when doing business on the Internet.

Kind regards,
Matt Mitchell

Excellent unit for the money... June 25, 2015
Reviewer: Vince Montefusco from Ojal, CA United States
The most complicated part of the unit is unpacking it.  I mean, they take great care to insure that every part is protected so you do not have to go through the hassle of returning parts. Unpacking it takes longer than to setting it up - lol!

I received the unit last night and will be testing it on a national TV reality show teaser involving 5 to 6 cameras. The Orion will be used in its 12 foot configuration (4' optional extension) for wide to medium shots of talent playing instruments.

More testing info to follow this review - standby!

Orion DVC210 8 ft DSLR Camera Crane / Jib by ProA June 23, 2015
Reviewer: Reed Kaestner Photography from Rancho Santa Fe, CA United States
Excellent product! Build quality is unbelievable for the price. Once you get it balanced ( I use ankle weights behind the pivot point which can slide forward or backward to fine tune the balance in addition to the free weights on the weight bar. ) you can do most movements with one finger! Super smooth shots are possible if you slow down and use a good fluid head.....all in all, I'm impressed! This purchase has taken my video capture to a new level...Buy one!
Customer service is outstanding...hope they are treating Donna like the princess that she is!

This was by far the the best investment I have ever made for my business. The product was perfect and the customer service was top of the line. Even if I didn't get this product I would love to donate to this company so that more opportunities for other clients could be experienced like mine.

Excellent June 17, 2015
Reviewer: Jack Lee from Sante Fe, NM United States
Well the crane came. And what can you say? Excellent quality, great build. Very nice crane. I will be ordering the cables for a bit more stability, but it's usable straight away as it is.

Buy this crane and you won't go wrong.
